We love our work here at ITU. We love the creative process, building worlds for you, writing, making art, designing mechanics etc.
And when the all of our work comes to fruition and we have something amazing to deliver to you, our supporters, it fills us with joy.But you know what? Something that also fills us with excitement is seeing what you do with the worlds of our games. We read your lore discussions with bated breath, look at the miniatures you paint, admire the custom things you create for the games (like inserts), and the home rules or gear analyses for AT:O (yes, there's an entire forum for that on Discord).
So we got to thinking and saw a chance to do something awesome with you and for you. With our graphic team, we came up with an idea. We'd love for you to take part in the creative process and for your ideas to actually become reality!
That’s why we’ve prepared a small contest for you, a miniature contest!
Of course, we’ll help you with everything. You do not need to be a 3D artist to participate in the contest - all you need is an idea!
After all, everything starts with an idea…So if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to create something of your own within the world of Aeon Trespass, now is your chance. The contest is about preparing a miniature brief. What exactly a brief is and how to create one is explained below - Mikołaj, our Art Director, helped me prepare this “How to Create a Brief” guide for you.
Then, we will choose what we think are the three best submissions, and after that, you - our community - will be able to vote for the best idea out of those three!
Afterwards, we, in collaboration with the winner, will create the miniature - the model, the print, the art, the cards (if any are needed).
And of course, we’ll keep the entire community updated on the progress through future updates. At the end, the model will be officially released in our store in a limited quantity. And of course, the winner will receive the complete model from us, along with a special (one-of-a-kind in the entire world) certificate and probably some additional little surprise from us as well ;)
We think this is an incredible opportunity to create something truly amazing together! I swear, I haven’t seen our art department this excited in a very long time.
The most important rule, however, is that you cannot use AI while creating your contest submission. We’ll be accepting submissions until June 15th at 11:59:59 PM CEST, so that on June 18th we can announce the three submissions advancing to the next stage.
So now… let’s move on to…

A brief is basically a written document passed to a graphic team - whether a 3D artist or a concept artist - to make the creation process easier. It can also include references, inspirations, moodboards, sketches, and anything else that comes to your mind.
But the most important things that must be included in your brief are:
1. Most importantly: Gameplay
What role does it serve in thegame? Is it a Titan? A Primordial? A Nymph? A Godform? You can literally describe it with a single word if it’s something already existing in the game, but maybe you’ll come up with something completely different? Something that hasn’t existed before? Then you’ll need to describe it in more detail.2. Placement Within the World
Explain why this thing exists within the setting. What circumstances led to its creation? What purpose does it serve, what problem does it answer, or what forgotten age, culture, or event is it a remnant of?3. Holistic Approach
Beyond serving its gameplay purpose, the concept should feel like a natural part of the world. Think about how it fits into the setting, what kind of culture or civilization it comes from, and what details in its design reflect that origin.4. Technical Requirements
The concept should work well as a miniature and be visually interesting in miniature form. It should allow for a dynamic pose and a strong silhouette while remaining a coherent, self-contained composition. These are the most important points…
As for the rest - let your imagination run wild!
If you’re looking for inspiration, we highly encourage you to revisit our rather old and somewhat forgotten Spotlights and Dev Diaries. You can find them here under the Projects section: Aeon Trespass: Twelve Sins of Herakles and Aeon Trespass: Odyssey.
You’ll find the registration form and the full contest rules on this site.
In the form, you’ll be able to attach your brief (.doc, .docx, .pdf), as well as any additional materials if you’d like.
(the form has a limit of 5 files and 2000 characters Your Message)If you have any questions or if something’s not clear, don’t hesitate to reach us on Discord or support@itustudio.com
We can’t wait to see what you create!
